Butterfly House is Rancho Jacona’s largest house. It began as a small four-room adobe in the 1930s. It was added to in the 1950s, or thereabout, and again in 2000. It came up for sale in 2000, and being adjacent to the Rancho Jacona property, it was purchased to accommodate our biggest families/groups. In response to frequent requests for more space, an annex with two bedrooms and two baths was added and the interior rooms were opened up to make them larger.
Amenities
Butterfly has four bedrooms and four baths. Three of the bedrooms can be either kings or two twins and each of these is large enough for an additional roll-away bed. The fourth bedroom is a queen.
The living room is large, as is the TV room/dining room — seating twelve. The house also has a fully equipped kitchen, a laundry with washer and dryer, and three patios, one of them fully enclosed by an adobe wall. All bedrooms open upon a patio, as does the kitchen. The house has evaporative cooling in summer, radiant heat in winter.
Butterfly house will sleep up to 8 guests. It is a favorite for large families or up to four couples traveling together. It is located a short stroll across the pasture and county road from the other houses.
Nightly Rate: $325/night
Capacity: 4 to 8 People
For every person after capacity (10+) there will be a one time fee of $50 per person.
