Description:

Casa de Vistas is about the views from both sides of the house: the house has been focussed for a sweeping panorama of the Jemez mountains, with views through large French doors out to the Sangre de Cristo.

The house is new, built in 2007. Extremely high ceilings, finished with pine beam and planks, accentuate the breadth of the views and the spacious openness of the house. Open it is, this house. It sits above our local arroyo - "Rancho Jacona Arroyao" with our desert land exposed and raw.

Separate from the grounds of the other houses, down the drive and across the lane, its setting is above the arroyo.

The house is a short walk across a field of sheep to Butterfly House.

Ceilings are high so as to bring in all of our bright light. They are made of traditional pine trunk beams and wood.

The floors are all tiled with large cream colored tiles. These again reflect the light and increase the sense of spacious openness.

Bedrooms:

Casa de Vistas has two bedrooms each with its own bath.

Each bedroom may be made up as a single King bed or two twin beds.

The master bedroom has views out through large French doors across the patio and then an exposed panorama of desert and arroyo. There is a desk, work area, high ceilings and finely wrought, a cut tin mirror by a from the neighbor artist.

The bathroom includes a shower and deep bath combination. The tiling is hand painted artisan tile.

The second bedroom has a view out the the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Its bath, too, includes a shower and deep bath combination. The tiling is hand painted artisan tile.

There is no sofa bed.
