Opens onto a private patio under ancient cottonwoods and next to acequia.
Description:
Raccoon Casita sits above the arroyo and next to the acequia that runs through Ranch Jacona. It is shaded by the cottonwoods surrounding the acequia.
The patio is shaded by those same cottonwoods.
The casita is one large room serving as both living area and sleeping space. The kitchen is separate from the living area , with eating space for four or five, and is fully equipped, as are all the kitchens at Rancho Jacona.
Part of the hand crafted furniture is a queen bed "Murphy" that folds down from the side wall. At one end of the room is the double bunk - again hand crafted on site.
On one side is the fireplace cut into the adobe wall with an over-mantle of raccoons in bas relief.
The kitchen leads off the main living/sleeping area and is fully equipped like all kitchens at Rancho Jacona's rental houses.
Raccoon is:
- next to the rabbit pen
- next to the acequia
- near the presa-pond
- near the sunken garden
- not far from the pool
- not far from the children's play area
