Closed For First Two Weeks of December
Except for long term guests, during the first two weeks in December, Rancho Jacona is closed.
All phone and e-mail inquiries will still be answered as the office will remain open.

Two Week Stay Rate Advantage During the Off and Way Off Seasons
Ask about special discounts for those staying two weeks or more in October, November, December, January, and February.

Reservations for Rental Houses Near Santa Fe and Los Alamos:

• Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit, for each night of the reservation by Master Card, Visa, or personal check. 
• The balance of the entire period reserved is due the first morning of your stay. 
• We do not return deposits on short notice, but are happy to apply them to an equivalent or longer stay within 18 months. December holiday deposits may not be re-used for December holidays but may be used at other times.
• If you reserve at Rancho Jacona, please plan ahead for departing flights or driving time. 
• If you reserve at Rancho Jacona, our letter of confirmation contains driving instructions and the terms of your deposit and rental.  Please read it carefully when it arrives to be sure dates and prices are correct.  Put driving instructions in your wallet even if you have reserved months in advance. 
• If we are away from the phone on the day of your arrival, you may not find Rancho Jacona unless you have instructions with you. 
  
  
• RESERVING MORE THAN ONE HOUSE FOR GROUPS:  Rancho Jacona can accept group reservations only for stays of five days or more when booking 3 or more houses IN SEASON.   Because most reservations are made months in advance, we require 120 days notice for refund of deposits on group reservations or stays longer than 10 days in season.
• CLOSED BEGINNING OF DEC - Except for long term guests, during the first two weeks in December, Rancho Jacona is closed.

CHILDREN: Young guests are very welcome.

PETS: Pets are accepted in all houses except Frog, Rabbit, or Butterfly House unless they are non shedding. The only dogs we recognize as “non-shedding” are those with wool instead of hair, such as poodles, bichons, and Portuguese water dogs.

We have common sense Pet Policy for guests and their pets. We will mail it to you on request.

FIREWOOD: sufficient for evening fires is without charge, cold months only.

EXTRA CHARGES: Rancho Jacona tries to keep "extras" to a minimum.  Listed below are the extras to be aware.

• PHONE: Short toll calls inside New Mexico are covered in your rental.  Long calls, or calls outside New Mexico are not covered.  We charge a $25 bookkeeping fee to do the paper work necessary to bill you or charge your credit card after departure. 
  Please do not make out of state calls charged to your casita phone.
  Use your cell phone, calling card, or call collect for long distance.
• ITEMS LEFT BEHIND: Rancho Jacona charges $50, plus costs for returning items you have left behind.
• PET FEE:  There is a one-time dehairing fee for pets:  $25 per dog in a small house, $40 per dog in a 2 bedroom or larger house.  $75 for each cat in any house .
  (The difference is in the hair and dander. Dogs leave their hair on contact, cat hair floats onto every available surface. In the first case, we vacuum furniture, in the second, we vacuum curtains, walls, shades, everything.)
  No fee for caged animals or non-shedders. The only dogs we recognize as “non-shedding” are those with wool instead of hair, such as poodles, bichons, and Portuguese water dogs. Again, we have common sense Pet Policy for guests and their pets. We will mail it to you on request.
• EXTRA GUESTS:  There is a charge of $10 per day for each guest over the limit stated in the rating schedule. If your house sleeps six and you have eight people, you will be billed an additional twenty dollars a day.  This covers the cost of the additional laundry and cleaning required for larger numbers. 
• CRIBS: Full sized, safe cribs are $15 per assembly. 
• NO GROCERIES: Except for fresh eggs, we provide no groceries, not even salt, spices or condiments.
